Seawolves Move to #2 Seed, Set to Host #3 Seed San Diego After MLR Competition Update
June 7, 2022 (TUKWILA, WASHINGTON) – After a second Major League Rugby competitions update, the Seattle Seawolves have moved up to the #2 seed in the Western Conference after securing the a playoff spot with a win over Los Angeles this past Sunday. Houston now has a BYE as the new #1 seed in the west, and Seattle will host the #3 seed San Diego in the Western Conference Semifinal at Starfire Stadium on Sunday, June 12 at 7:00 PM PST. The match will be nationally televised on FS2.
Seattle went 2-0 during the 2022 regular season versus San Diego in a pair of highly competitive, west coast rival matches:
• February 20 – Seattle 31, San Diego 28 at SDSU Sports Deck in San Diego, CA
• April 16 – Seattle 34, San Diego 32 at Starfire in Tukwila, WA
Seattle hosts their first playoff match since 2019. Tickets are on sale now for the Western Conference Semifinal here.
