Seattle Seawolves Rugby Pathway
About the Pathway
The Seawolves Rugby Pathway will act as both the development and high-performance pathway for current and future rugby players in the Pacific Northwest. The mission is to strengthen the current rugby community, increase regional participation, and support the game in a professional manner at all levels.
Train to Win
USA Eagles (Men’s & Women’s 18+)
Our vision is to develop National team players and provide support to USA Rugby as they strive to become a tier one nation at World Rugby.
Seattle Seawolves (Men’s 18+)
The pinnacle of our pathway is the honor to wear the Seattle Seawolves jersey and compete within Major League Rugby. As we continue to establish ourselves as a professional organization, on and off the pitch. The Seawolves continue to compete with pride and excite our community.
Train to Compete
Seawolves Developmental XV (Men’s 18+)
Our goal with the Developmental XV is to advance more players and provide opportunities to train and compete at the highest level. These players will go through a fall training schedule including tryouts, match schedule, and a winter training camp.
Local, Regional & Representative Competition (Men’s & Women’s 18+)
The Seawolves support the Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union (PNRFU), their clubs, and regional collegiate programs at all levels. Historically, many the Seawolves’ domestic players have come from this tier. This level is important to the growth of rugby in the PNW and will continue to be the foundation for future Seawolves and the USA Eagles.
Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union (PNFRU) is the regional governing body for the adult amateur rugby union in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. PNFRU wishes to increase the skills of players and coaches, and create opportunities for high level playing and coaching
The partnership will help efficiently identify talented players for potential development for professional play as well as support coach education opportunities for coaches across the Pathway.

U16 & U18 Talent ID and Development (Seawolves Representative Sides)
The Seawolves U16 & U18 Representative Academy sides will provide an opportunity to establish the professional principles and best practices to young athletes eager to progress and grow, all while having fun. The Seawolves Academy U16 & U18 teams will compete in summer 2022. Tryouts and more information to follow.
As we develop, mentor, and identify the next generation of Seawolves, it is important that we strengthen the talent pool through aligning with USA Rugby’s Pacific Northwest National Development Pathway (NDP) program, Loggers Rugby. The partnership with the Loggers provides the Seawolves an opportunity to facilitate coaching support, ongoing player welfare, and mentorship.

Youth & High School Rugby in Pacific Northwest (Boys & Girls)
Rugby Washington (Rugby WA) is the State Youth Rugby Organization that oversees Youth and High School rugby in western Washington. The Seawolves are proud to partner with Rugby Washington (Rugby WA) to help youth and high school athletes develop their athletic skills, as well as their personal and interpersonal skills, through the game of rugby.
Rugby WA will play a vital role in providing a fun, safe, inclusive and welcoming environment in competitive sport. With 11 clubs, and still growing, kids ages 6-18 can play for a local team throughout the year.
If you are interested in signing up your young athlete, or getting into coaching, visit their website.

Introduction to The Game in The Local Community (Boys & Girls)
The Boys & Girls Club is thrilled to partner with the Seattle Seawolves to introduce youth across Washington State to rugby.
Every club aims to provide a world-class club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors.
The Seattle Seawolves and Boys & Girls Club have agreed to form a partnership to introduce the youth to rugby under the shared values of respect, teamwork, and integrity through a dynamic relationship focused on providing opportunities. Our shared values and dedication to give back to the community, especially young people, make this a perfect partnership.
The Seattle Seawolves have partnered with the YMCA of Inland Northwest to collaborate across multiple community events to engage kids with rugby. The YMCA aims to nurture the potential of kids by emphasizing fun, skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork in a positive environment.
Children will learn skills and build character while staying active, having fun, and making friends! Together, the Seawolves and the YMCA will help develop kids on and off the field through the sport of rugby.
Join the Seattle Seawolves for some rugby fun before select home matches at Starfire Stadium! 1st– 8th grade boys and girls will get to play rugby-inspired games alongside the professional athletes before they take the field to compete in their MLR match.
A ‘Meet and Greet’ session will directly follow where families will have the opportunity to take photos with and collect autographs from the Seawolves themselves. Each participant will also receive one standing room ticket for the game, a Seawolves t-shirt, and 10% off Seawolves’ merchandise. Don’t miss your chance to ‘Run with the Pack’ this season!
