SEATTLE SEAWOLVES NAME TOM BARDEN PRESIDENT AND COO
September 22, 2023 (TUKWILA, WASHINGTON) – The Seattle Seawolves Rugby Club is pleased to announce that effective immediately, the team has named Tom Barden President and Chief Operations Officer. Barden has been an investor in the Seawolves since 2018. Barden’s extensive leadership experience and business success make him the ideal leader to join the Seawolves and contribute to the continued growth of the Seawolves and rugby in North America.
“The Seawolves Board of Directors recognizes how fortunate we are to have someone of Tom’s caliber contributing to the Seawolves future success. Tom is a fan, existing shareholder, world-class executive, and on behalf of the Board of Directors, we are very pleased to welcome Tom into the Seawolves Front Office,” said Seawolves Board Member Ted Ackerley.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the Seawolves Leadership Team. Tom’s decades of experience and excellence in operations and strategy will propel the Seawolves forward as we evolve and improve all areas of our organization,” Seawolves CEO Brian Jones said.

A native of California and UC Berkeley graduate, Barden has been in Seattle for 30 years. Barden had a three-decade career as a Leadership Partner at Accenture. Barden is a former Board Chair of the Greater Northwest Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and former adjunct professor at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. Barden is an investor and advisor to several Seattle-based businesses.
