Pago Haini

PAGO HAINI joined the Seattle Seawolves with an impressive distinction: he is set to become the only player to have worn the jersey of every team that has won the MLR Shield, playing during two of those championships. Haini was born in American Samoa and educated at the renowned rugby institution St. Joseph College in Samoa. He then earned a Rugby/Academic scholarship to attend Churchie, Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia before attending Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand. His rugby career amped up when he joined the USA Sevens team in 2015, followed by stints with Houston Sabercats (2018), New England Free Jacks (2019), LA Giltinis (2021), and Rugby New York (2022-2023). Haini brings excellent experience and physicality to the Seawolves’ back row. His gladiatorial yet respectful style of play reflects much of what is great about rugby union.
