Born in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, Majola attended Westville Boys High School and represented the Sharks U18 in South Africa’s premier high school competition, Craven Week, in 2013. After high school, he joined the Sharks Academy and started in all their 13 matches that season at loosehead prop and reached the semi-final that year. He attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal and played for the Sharks XV – debuting for them in 2015 against Western Province. Selected to South Africa’s U20 squad, he proved himself in matches leading up to the 2015 World Rugby Under 20 Championship and made four appearances throughout the competition.
The young prop’s track to a professional career continued as he stayed within the Sharks pathway, competing for them for their U21 program and in their Currie Cup squad (19 appearances). Majalo made the jump to Pro14 competition with the Southern Kings in 2017 before moving to the Sharks in 2018, earning his first Super Rugby contract. Majola made 21 impedances for the Sharks since 2018. The 26-year-old prop will be another key member of the Seawolves front row in 2022 and beyond, developing his potential under head coach Allen Clarke and alongside fellow squad members.
