University of Michigan Alumni Sequoyah Burke-Combs Joins Seattle Seawolves Roster
Former Seattle Saracen Burke-Combs brings more speed and depth to the roster

SEATTLE –The Seattle Seawolves are excited to announce the signing of Michigan Alumni and Washington Athletic Club 7s player, Sequoyah
Burke-Combs.
Sequoyah’s rugby roots are strongly embedded in his home state of Michigan. During his first and only year of high school rugby, he helped his team
win a state title while snatching up the MVP honors himself. One year was enough for Burke-Combs to know he wanted to continue playing the game
and did just that at the University of Michigan. Four years representing the Wolverines offered plenty of opportunities including winning the Big
Ten Championship in 2014 and competing in the Collegiate Rugby Championship in 2014 and 2015. After graduation, Sequoyah found a new place to call
home in the Pacific Northwest and found a home on the Seattle Saracens XVs rosters. His knack for sevens was not lost as he has suited up with
the Atavus All-Stars, Serevi Selects, and the Washington Athletic Club for an array of tournaments.
Burke-Combs brings a lot of eager athleticism and packs plenty of potential to capitalize on as he continues his career with the Seawolves.
“I’m blessed to be amongst such a knowledgeable group of leaders,” said Burke-Combs. “I look forward to pushing myself and my teammates to be the best
we can be.”
