On Sunday, June 9 at 6:00 PM PT the #2 ranked Seattle Seawolves beat #3 Toronto Arrows at Starfire Stadium. The tension at Starfire was built by the massive
crowd for the MLR Championship Series Semi-Final. With the support of their home crowd, the Seawolves managed to hold the lead for the entirety of
the game and strike down the Arrows. The Seawolves now progress to the MLR Championship game on Sunday, June 16 at 1:00 PM PT in San Diego, California.

KICK OFF: Sunday, June 9 at 6:00 PM PT
The Seattle Seawolves received the ball to start the semi-final game housed at Starfire Stadium. An early penalty on behalf of the Arrows had Brock Staller
kicking for points within the first five minutes, 3-0 Seawolves took the lead. Shortly after, Mat Turner snatched a chip kick from Cima and dashed
down the pitch, offloaded to Shalom Suniula, who saw JP Smith for an easy try. Staller’s kick was good, the Seawolves were up 10-0 in the first ten
minutes. Another penalty allowed Staller to kick for points once again, the kick was good which brought the Seawolves up 13-0 at minute 16.

kicking once again. The kick was good which brought the score to 23-0 with five minutes left in the half. The Arrows began to scramble as the first
half wound to a close and managed to squeeze a try in at the corner. The wide conversion was good, so the half ended at 23-7.

Ben Cima kicked off for the Seawolves and the team looked composed and organized. An interception by the Arrows however allowed them a try which raised
the score to 23-14. Vili Toluta’u, a fan favorite and 2018 MLR MVP returned to the pitch for the first time in months following an injury. The crowd
erupted in cheers and the energy of the Seawolves was recharged, but a penalty call gave the Arrows a kick for three points, 23-17.

Brock Staller attempted a long penalty kick but came up short but ate up a few minutes off the clock. The Arrows returned the missed strike with a kick
that led to a Seawolves lineout and charging maul. The Arrows began to panic and buckled in the mauls for back-to-back penalties which ended in a Seawolves
penalty try. The automatic seven points raised the Seawolves to 30-17 with ten minutes to go. The Arrows pushed to string momentum together but the
Seawolves shut down every attempt. Game ended 30-17.
