Seawolves Dazzle Mother’s Day Crowd with 11-Try Performance Over Jackals
May 8, 2022 (TUKWILA, WASHINGTON) – The Seattle Seawolves hosted the Dallas Jackals for the first time since the Club joined Major League Rugby for a 7:00 PM PT at Starfire Stadium. A relentless Seawolves attack saw the home team produce a record-setting score line across seven different try-scorers. 74-7, Seattle.
• Seattle sweeps their regular season series over Dallas, winning both home and away contests
• Seven different Seawolves dotted tries throughout the match, including Number Eight Riekert Hattingh with his ninth and tenth tries of the season — rising to the top spot in Week 15 as the League’s top try scorer
• Hooker Sean McNulty and Prop Sam Matenga both scored their first tries for Seattle
• Flyhalf AJ Alatimu kicked a strong match off the tee, accounting for 16 points from one penalty and 8 conversion kicks
• The Club set three MLR records for: the highest points scored in a single match (74 points), the most tries scored in a single match (11), and largest score margin (67-point spread)
• Seawolves still in the hunt for a Western Conference playoff spot after gaining maximum standing points from both the win and a four-try bonus point, as well as adding 74 points to their ‘Points For’ column

The Seattle Seawolves will travel to New York in their final Eastern Conference contest of the regular season on Sunday, May 15 for a 12:00 PM PT kick off. Seattle versus New York will be broadcast on ROOT SPORTS Plus regionally and streamed online on The Rugby Network.
The Seawolves will return to Starfire Stadium for their final regular season home match to take on the Houston SaberCats on Military Appreciation Night Friday, May 27 at 7:30 PM. The final Seawolves’ Run with the Pack, presented by Westfield Southcenter, youth camp will take place pre-match and 1st-8th grade boys and girls are encouraged to sign up here.
