Jaguares’ Leguizamón Ready to Hunt with Seattle Seawolves
Seattle, Wash. — The Seattle Seawolves have signed Los Pumas stalwart, Juan Manuel Leguizamón.
Leguizamón, originally from Santiago, Argentina, is one of the most decorated Argentinian rugby union players of all time. Leguizamón debuted for Los Pumas
in 2005 against Japan and laid the foundation for a 14-year career with his country. As the second highest capped Pumas with 87 appearances, Leguizamón
played in four, consecutive Rugby World Cups in 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019, captained the team three times, and scored 13 tries. On the club side of
his game, Leguizamón has played for some of the top teams in the world including London Irish (2005-8), Stade Français (2008-11), Lyon (2011-15), and
Jaguares of Super Rugby (2015-2019). With such a consistent career against top competition, the 6’3, back row forward will raise the standard of the
Seawolves’ open field play with his smart, strong running lines and monstrous moments in contact in the Seawolves forward pack.
“It is a new, big challenge for me joining the two-time Major League Rugby champions,” said Leguizamón. “I am looking forward to having a great experience
in an amazing country doing what I love the most.”
Watch Leguizamón and the Seawolves at Starfire Stadium starting January 2020 with full season, half season, or single game tickets that can be purchased at
