Originating from Pretoria, South Africa, Jean Droste’s rugby odyssey spans over a decade, marked by his recent play for the Toyota Free State Cheetahs in the Currie Cup. With a solid foundation laid during his youth with the Blue Bulls, Droste’s professional journey took flight with the Sharks. His career has seen him transition through teams with grace and skill, including stints with the Spears, Blue Bulls, and Green Rockets, before making a significant impact with the Cheetahs between 2021 and 2023, and a year with Munakata Sanix Blues in 2022.

Droste’s international experience extends to his early days, having played for England’s U18 and U20 teams, contributing to the Junior World Cup victory in 2016. His adaptability on the field is evident in his dual proficiency as both a lock and a flanker.
