Chris Latham Joins the Seattle Seawolves as Assistant Coach
The Seattle Seawolves are thrilled to announce the addition of Chris Latham as Assistant Coach for the 2024 season. Hailing from Australia, Latham brings a wealth of experience and accolades, setting the stage for an exciting new Seawolves chapter.
Latham’s rugby career is packed with successes. He is recognized as the second-highest try scorer in Wallaby history with 40 international tries, and esteemed rugby correspondent Stephen Jones has described Latham as the “the finest full-back [he has] seen.”
Allen “Clarkie” Clarke, Seawolves Director of Rugby and Head Coach, is enthusiastic about having Latham on the team.
“It’s great to have Chris on board as Assistant Coach for 2024. As an ex-international top-class player, he understands what it takes to be the best. I’m excited by the impact he adds to the squad and management team.” said Clarkie.
Speaking with Latham, his excitement for this new role was also evident. “I’m really looking forward to working with Clarkie, Nese, and the rest of the Seawolves team. In my first month, I’ve already experienced incredible camaraderie among the coaching staff and the players,” Latham expressed. “This team has a formidable spirit and talent, which positions us perfectly to bring the Shield home.”
Latham’s addition to the coaching team brings a global rugby perspective to our strategy. The Seattle Seawolves are committed to pushing boundaries and striving for excellence in every aspect of the game.
Welcome to the pack, Chris! And Seawolves fans, brace yourselves! The upcoming season is shaping up to be an exhilarating one.
