SEATTLE –The Seattle Seawolves are excited to announce the signing of Manawatu Turbo, Brad Tucker.
Hailing from Canterbury, Tucker boasts a lengthy resume of experience from multiple New Zealand sides. Brad’s first jump into high level rugby came from
an opportunity with Canterbury’s U20 program in 2012. Success at the age-grade level pushed him into their Metro and 7s side from 2012-2016. During
his time with Canterbury, he was also suiting up with Christchurch RFC’s Division I side. He entered the Canterbury wider training group in 2016, but
eventually made a move to Waikato for a season to compete in the Mitre 10 Cup. In 2017, Tucker joined Taranaki and was selected to the New Zealand
Marist side and named captain. Another move within the Mitre 10 came after the 2017 season to the Manawatu Turbos. Brad made nine appearances for the
Turbos as a lock and made 78 tackles of his attempted 84. Joining the team from Manawatu, Tucker will be right at home as part of the Seawall with
his 93% tackle completion rate and will add more international depth to the Seawolves forward pack.
“I’m excited to be a part of building something great,” said Tucker. “The team has set the standard in Major League Rugby and I hope to help take that
standard to the next level.”
