Toyota Cheetahs Flyhalf Shifts to Major League Rugby with Seattle Seawolves
Seattle, Washington — The Seattle Seawolves have signed former Toyota Cheetahs Flyhalf, Ryno Eksteen.
Eksteen flourished early in his rugby career, getting first called up to play for the Blue Bulls U-16 and U-18 sides and was the top points scorer in the
2012 U18 Craven Week Tournament. His remarkable performance had him called up for the 2012 South African Schools side, where he had the opportunity
to play against France, Wales, and England at a young age.

Eksteen then made the jump to Super Rugby in 2014 with the DHL Stormers after a season with the Western Province Academy in 2013. In 2015, Eksteen transitioned
to Western Province’s senior side competing in the Currie Cup competition. After time with Western province, he shifted within the Currie Cup realm

The Toyota Cheetahs joined the PRO14 competition in 2018 which saw Eskteen debut in another top league. Prior to his decision to join the Major League
Rugby fold, Eksteen was contracted to play for the Springbok 7s but missed the season due to injury. The young flyhalf becomes yet another weapon in
the Seawolves backline to help continue identifying space and commanding a lethal attack heading into the 2020 season.
