Taylor Krumrei Returns to Seattle
After playing with NOLA Gold last season, Taylor Krumrei is back with the Seawolves squad for the 2023 season. The 30 year-old specialist lock helped the Seawolves win back-to-back titles, playing a starting role in the 2018 Championship Final.
“I moved to Seattle after college to continue playing rugby with the Seattle Saracens, and was fortunate to be a part of the Seawolves team for the first 4 seasons. After a season away, I am thrilled to come back to hunt for our third MLR shield,” said Krumrei.
“It feels like we’re welcoming Taylor back home. He has a rich history with the PNW rugby community with Seattle Rugby Club, and as a double Shield winner with the Seawolves in 2018 & 2019. We’re delighted to add another American player of Taylor’s quality to our roster,” said Head Coach Allen Clarke.
Krumrei played 24 MLR matches from 2018 to 2020, and was named in the USA Select XV squad for the 2018 Americas Pacific Challenge.
