SEATTLE- The Seattle Seawolves have announced the signing of University of Oregon graduate and Seattle Saracens lock, Taylor Krumrei.
“Taylor’s height and strength is an important contribution to our forward pack” said coach Tony Healy. “His aggressive style of play will help significantly
with our close field play in our upcoming matches.”
Taylor Krumrei first began playing rugby his senior year in high school for Lamorinda Rugby Club in Moraga, California. He then went on to play in
college for the Oregon Ducks for his entire collegiate career. At 6 feet 5 inches, Krumrei fit perfectly as a lock, serving as the glue for their
forward pack. After graduating from a successful college rugby career, Krumrei traveled up to Seattle to play for the Seattle Saracens for the
last two years. He moved to New Zealand in mid-2017 to train with the Waikato Premier Rugby Club for four months and has since returned to Seattle to begin training with the Seawolves.
“I’m very grateful and excited for the opportunity to join the Seawolves,” said Krumrei. “I am looking forward to the work ahead and being a part of
the growth of Professional Rugby in North America.”
