Seattle Halt Comeback Kings, Edge Warriors by Three in Week 2
TUKWILA WA (February 10, 2022) – The Seattle Seawolves welcomed the Utah Warriors to Starfire Stadium on the Club’s first Thursday night match. Both teams had quick turnarounds from Sunday matches, but the level of physicality didn’t waiver. Tries from flanker Nakai Penny and Number Eight Reikert Hattingh in the first half, paired with Alatimu’s perfect kicking, was just enough to reach a 2-0 start to the 2022 season. Seattle wins 20-17.
• The ‘Seawall’ defense continued to be a key factor in the Seawolves’ success strategy
• Former University of Washington Husky Football and Seattle Seahawk Taniela Tupou made his first MLR debut with the Seawolves
• Seattle makes an early rise to the top of the Western Conference table with the Week 2 win
