SAM WINDSOR JOINS SEATTLE SEAWOLVES
Sam Windsor is a Major League Rugby pioneer, joining the Houston Sabercats in the inaugural season. His MLR career has been nothing short of stellar. Windsor was the third player to reach 50 caps in the MLR and was the all-time highest point scorer going into the 2023 season with 320 points.
“It is fantastic to have a player of Sam’s experience and quality join the squad for 2024. We are delighted to welcome him and his wife, Becca, to the Seawolves family.” – Director of Rugby and Head Coach Allen “Clarkie” Clarke
Windsor hails originally from Australia where his amateur training started with the Brumbies Academy. In 2014 he played for NSW Country Eagles in the inaugural season of the National Rugby Championship. He followed that up with a one year contract in Ireland playing for Ulster. Most recently, Windsor played two seasons with Rugby New York.
“I started my American Rugby journey with the Seattle Saracens back in 2017, and I am excited to return to the PNW. Coming to play against the Seawolves is always a formidable task, so I can’t wait to run out in front of the home fans and be on the right side of the field for once.
Clarkie and the Staff have put together a very competitive squad and I know how determined the organization is to have the Shield back in their cabinet.
Given the circumstances of the last week, I am very grateful to be given an opportunity to represent the Seawolves and can’t wait to get to work. See you all at Starfire in 2024.” -Sam Windsor
