Rainier Highlanders Alumni Tiauli Tapped for Seawolves Front Row Coverage
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON (JUNE 26, 2021) – The Seattle Seawolves are excited to announce the signing of Rainier Highlanders product and former Seattle Rugby Club hooker, Halleluiah Tiauli.
From Sumner, Washington Tiauli played multiple sports in high school in both rugby and football. He joined local rugby club Rainier and quickly made a splash for his age grade, selected into the Washington Loggers rep side multiple times. Tiauli earned Highland of the Year and the Casey Smith Award in 2015 as he continued to be a staple for his home Club. He was a member of the Boys High School All-Americans program in 2016 and competed against the British Columbia Bears. After high school, he continued to play rugby and most recently joined Seattle Rugby Club in 2019 to compete in the British Columbia league. The young hooker is willing to look for work and is a strong ball carrier, coming into the Seawolves’ camp late in the 2021 season for essential front row coverage.
“Just happy and very, very thankful to be here,” said Tiauli. “I’m excited to learn more, challenge myself, compete, and represent for all the local boys and girls in Washington.”
The Seattle Seawolves (2-10) are hosting the Los Angeles Giltinis (10-2) at Starfire Stadium for the first time. Sunday’s match is Pride Night and is proudly presented by Experience Tukwila. The match was delayed earlier this week by two hours due to the record-breaking temperatures in the Puget Sound to 7:00 PM PT on Sunday, June 27. Tune in on ROOT SPORTS and The Rugby Network for viewers inside the United States and The Rugby Network for those outside of the US. Fully vaccinated fans can purchase tickets here.
