As Seattle, like every metropolitan area, seeks to regain its footing after the pandemic, public officials, businesses, community leaders and residents must uphold a shared set of attributes that express our collective community.
Seattle stands as a pivotal city in the global economy, credited for shaping modern aviation that earned the moniker “Jet City” and hosting companies that revolutionized various sectors. Boeing’s aviation legacy, Microsoft’s technological advancements, and the customer service transformations by Starbucks, Nordstrom, Costco and REI are notable. Additionally, Amazon’s role in online retail and cloud computing further cements Seattle’s global economic influence.
That remarkable international influence stems from the diverse, talented individuals in Seattle, whose innovative ideas and commitment continue to shape the city and the world.
