Local Talent Gets MLR Nod as Seawolves Sign Dean
The Central Washington Alumni playmaker adds more rugby I.Q. to the Seawolves squad with his extensive experience for his age.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
January 31, 2019
SEATTLE, WA –The Seattle Seawolves are excited to announce the signing of former Central Washington Wildcat and U20’s All-American, Scott
Dean.
Born in the Greater Seattle Area, Scott is a local product from his beginnings to his Major League Rugby signing. His rugby career began at the young age
of 13, playing for the Liberty Patriots through his senior year of high school. With a varsity opportunity just over the mountain pass, Dean committed
to Central Washington University where he played 7s and 15s for the Wildcats from 2013-2018. Scott also received some international chances beyond
his backyard, suiting up for the USA U20’s All-Americans in 2014 and 2015 as well as playing for Hawkes Bay Academy of Napier, New Zealand in 2017.
After graduating, like most of his fellow Wildcats, Scott headed to Seattle to join the Saracens. Dean is a dynamic distributor that stocks the Seawolves
backline with even more consistent decision making for the 2019 season.
“It’s an honor to join the squad, especially after growing up in the area”, said Dean. “The team and staff have created an awesome environment to compete
and grow every day in. I can’t wait to put in some good shifts with the boys.”
