SEATTLE –The Seattle Seawolves are excited to announce the signing of former XVs and 7s Fijian international, William Rasileka. William
was born and raised in Fiji where rugby is played by all ages, in all seasons. He was selected to the Suva U20’s, where his performance helped him
secure a spot on Fiji U21 team. Rasileka represented and captained Fiji on both their XVs and 7s teams in various competitions, including the 2009
IRB Sevens World Cup. In 2011, he accepted an offer from Old Puget Sound Beach (OPSB) in Seattle, Washington. Since then, Williams has been playing
for Seattle, now known as the Seattle Saracens, while coaching and mentoring at different clubs locally for Atavus Rugby. Rasileka was a part of three
Las Vegas Invitational 7s Men’s Elite Championships with the Serevi Selects and three USA Club 7s National Championships with Seattle. A stalwart of
the game, his leadership and experience will elevate an already dangerous Seawolves backline.
“I am so blessed and thank God for the opportunity to be part of the Seattle Seawolves. I have been playing rugby here in the states for seven years now,
waiting for professional rugby to happen,” said Rasileka. “Major League Rugby and the Seattle Seawolves will be an eye opener to the people here in
the Pacific Northwest. It will only further grow the rugby that is already here in the community and that is the most exciting part.”
