Cam Polson Signs with Seattle Seawolves
Seattle, December 14, 2017: The Seattle Seawolves are excited to announce the signing
of former British Columbia (B.C) Bear, Cam Polson. Head Coach Tony Healy has high praise for Polson, saying “Cam is an excellent man and fantastic athlete with enormous potential. He relishes hard work and is ambitious to
find his best. The Seawolves will be the happy beneficiaries of Cam’s aspirations.”
Polson was born in London, Ontario and began playing mini rugby at age 7 with the Velox Valhallians RFC in Victoria, B.C. In high school, he played for
Claremont Secondary and had a brief stint with Prince Alfred College in Adelaide, Australia. He began his collegiate career with the Royal Military
College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario before transferring to University of Victoria in 2008 to play lock with the Vikes. After graduating in 2013
and taking two seasons off to heal from injury, Polson returned to the sport in 2016 with Castaway Wanderers RFC in Oak Bay, B.C. This past summer,
Polson played with fellow Seawolves teammates and BC Bears Phil Mack and Brock Staller as they became national champions at the 2017 Canadian Rugby Championship.
Polson is ready for his new journey, saying, “I am excited to be heading south of the border to join the Seattle Seawolves for the inaugural MLR season.”
Polson said. “The league is clearly going to be a very high calibre of rugby and I can’t wait for our squad to impose some West Coast dominance on
the pitch. I’m ready for some hard yards.”
We are proud to welcome Cam Polson to the Seattle Seawolves.
