Eagle No. 505 Malcolm Heads North, Joins Seawolves Forward Pack in 2023
TUKWILA, WASHINGTON – The Seattle Seawolves have signed former San Diego Legion Hooker, Peter Malcolm, for the 2023 season and beyond. Malcolm is an experienced addition to the Seawolves’ front row with 41 MLR appearances to his name between his time at Austin (2018-19) and San Diego (2020-22). Malcolm flourished through the USA age-grade pathway, starting with the US U20’s, selected as a Collegiate All-American three times, captained the USA Selects, and has represented the Eagles on the senior stage 11 times.
“I’m delighted to announce the signing of Peter Malcolm from San Diego on a three-year deal,” said Seawolves director of rugby and head coach Allen Clarke. “An ever-present force in the MLR, he adds significant quality to our competition at Hooker and is highly driven to re-establish himself in the USA Senior squad having been first capped in 2017. We welcome Peter and his wife Megan to the Seawolves family.”
“I am so pleased to be joining the Seawolves. The atmosphere every time I have visited Starfire has been electric and I can’t wait to feel that home crowd behind us,” said Malcolm. “Excited beyond words to get to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and get to work.”
The 2023 Seawolves Rugby season is set to kick off in January 2023 with preseason matches before the MLR regular season begins. Fans can purchase 2023 full and half season memberships here.
